Basketball Hall of Fame on the Passing of Clyde Lovellette, Class of 1988

Mar 10, 2016 - Clyde Lovellette, enshrined as a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1988, has passed away at the age of 86. “As a legend at Kansas, one of the most storied programs in the country, and an NBA veteran, Clyde Lovellette achieved excellence at every level of the game,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “He was big in stature, as well as personality, and will be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of knowing him in the basketball community and beyond.”

Final Five Candidates Announced for 2016 Karl Malone Award

Mar 10, 2016 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for the 2016 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award. Named after Hall of Famer and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Karl Malone, the annual honor in its second year recognizes the top power forwards in Division I men’s college basketball. A committee comprised of top college basketball personnel narrowed the original watch list of 20 candidates down to 10 and now the final five.
