Syracuse and Kansas to Face Off December 2nd at AmericanAirlines Arena
SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and schedules for the campus round games leading up to the third annual Hoophall Miami Invitational. This NCAA multi-team event, sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, will feature round robin play of five teams in the two weeks leading up to the main event in Miami with Kansas and Syracuse serving as host sites.
As previously announced, the Hoophall Miami Invitational at AmericanAirlines Arena will serve as the culmination of the campus round games for Syracuse and Kansas. The one-day doubleheader held on Saturday, December 2nd will feature a matchup of perennial powerhouses Syracuse and Kansas, as well as local-favorite Miami versus reigning Ivy League Champion Princeton.
Teams scheduled to participate in this year’s campus round games as part of the multi-team event are: Kansas (Big 12 Conference), Oakland (Horizon League), Syracuse (Atlantic Coast Conference), Texas Southern (Southwestern Athletic Conference) and Toledo (Mid-American Conference).
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will serve as the host conference for this multi-team event anchored by Kansas and Syracuse. The MAAC has developed a strong partnership with the Basketball Hall of Fame, including the addition of a MAAC exhibit in the Hall of Fame museum in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Campus round matchup details such as game times, tickets sales and broadcast information will be released individually by each host school. Tickets for the Hoophall Miami Invitational on Saturday December 2nd are available via Ticketmaster and the AmericanAirlines Arena box office.
