Tickets still available as over 50 Hall of Famers expected to honor Class of 2013

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the list of Hall of Famers who will serve as presenters for the 2013 Enshrinement Ceremony, presented by Nike, on Sunday, September 8th at Springfield Symphony Hall.

Members of the incoming 2013 class for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame were asked to select a previous inductee to accompany and present the new member of the Basketball Hall of Fame to his or her peers. The choice is solely the decision of the incoming Hall of Famer. Over 50 Hall of Famers are expected to be in attendance for this year’s ceremony including all presenters.

The Class of 2013 inductees include nine-time NBA All-Star Gary Payton; seven-time NCAA Final Four coach Rick Pitino; four-time NCAA Final Four coach Jerry Tarkanian; five-time WNBA All-Star Dawn Staley; five-time NCAA Final Four coach Guy Lewis; four-time NBA All-Star Bernard King; three-time National Coach of the Year Sylvia Hatchell; ABA legend Roger Brown; early African-American pioneer Dr. E.B. Henderson; Brazilian scoring machine Oscar Schmidt; six-time NBA All-Star Richard Guerin and former President of USA Basketball and NBA Deputy Commissioner Russ Granik.
