Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony Commemorative September 11 Moment

Sep 09, 2021 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today plans for a commemorative September 11 moment during the Enshrinement Ceremony for the Class of 2021. The ceremony will begin with Ray Allen (’18) welcoming the audience and offering a reflection on this solemn day, followed by GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, Anthony Hamilton, who will perform “America the Beautiful”. The Springfield Police and Fire Color Guard will be present to represent and remember those first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th, 2001.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2021 Enshrinement Weekend Schedule

Sep 07, 2021 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is pleased to announce additional details regarding Enshrinement Weekend for the Class of 2021. The Enshrinement process will culminate with the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, September 11 in Springfield, Mass. – the Birthplace of Basketball. The Class was revealed in May and includes a total of 16 honorees.

Sep 02, 2021 - Springfield, Mass. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, Anthony Hamilton, will perform at the Class of 2021 Enshrinement Ceremony held at MassMutual Center on Saturday, September 11. The ceremony will be hosted by Ahmad Rashad and the television broadcast schedule will be announced next week.

Sep 01, 2021 - Springfield, MA - Enshrinement Weekend and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame is making that extra trifecta shot by teaming up with the Springfield Business Improvement District and Westfield Bank to produce a free concert with local party favorite Darik and the Funbags and NBC’s The Voice finalist and local favorite Michelle Brooks-Thompson outside at the Basketball Hall of Fame. The concert will take place on Sunday, September 12th from 1pm – 5pm and is free to the public.
