Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Partnership with U.S. Marine Corps for Annual Hoophall Classic

Nov 14, 2014 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that the United States Marine Corps will partner with this year’s 2015 Spalding Hoophall Classic. The high school basketball tournament is in its 14th year and will feature 52 teams at Springfield College’s Blake Arena from January 15-19. Other supporting sponsors for the Hoophall Classic include Nike, MassMutual, Gatorade, Springfield College, Florence Bank, MassLive and The Republican.

Basketball Hall of Fame Announces 2015 Bob Cousy Award Watch List 

Nov 05, 2014 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the watch list of candidates for the 2015 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award. The annual honor, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes the top point guards in men’s college basketball. Over 35 candidates have been nominated for the 2015 Bob Cousy Award.

Nation’s Top Teams Travel to Springfield for the 2015 Spalding® Hoophall Classic 

Oct 30, 2014 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame today announced the field of teams and game schedule for the 2015 Spalding® Hoophall Classic, an annual basketball tournament hosted by Springfield College, games will be played at the Blake Arena January 15-19th during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. The nation’s premier basketball event will once again showcase the top high school basketball teams across the country.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Partners with Westfield Bank to Develop Local Youth into Character MVP’s

Oct 06, 2014 - The MVP’s of Character is a series of speaking events held at the Basketball Hall of Fame during the school year that offers educators and students an opportunity to engage in healthy character development based in the “Most Valuable Pillars” of Character. The program runs once a month from October 2014 through May 2015. Prominent athletes as well as community leaders will serve as program hosts as they speak to students about their experiences as they relate to the development of becoming productive and responsible citizens.
