Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, WBCA Announce Four New Women’s College Basketball Awards

Nov 02, 2017 - SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - In collaboration with ESPN, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) are proud to announce the addition of four inaugural women’s college basketball awards. Similar to the men’s awards which were introduced during the 2014-15 season, the Hall of Fame and the WBCA will now present an award honoring the best player at each of the five positions in the women’s game. The partnership between the Basketball Hall of Fame, the WBCA, and ESPN demonstrates the continuing commitment of each entity to honor the women’s game on all levels.

Basketball Hall of Fame to Host 17th Annual Spalding Hoophall Classic in the Birthplace of Basketball

Oct 24, 2017 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and game schedule for the 2018 Spalding Hoophall Classic, an annual basketball showcase now in its seventeenth year at Springfield College. Games will be played at Blake Arena on the campus of Springfield College January 11-15, during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and IMG College Announce Partnership with Ticket Galaxy for Collegiate Events

Oct 23, 2017 - SPRINGFIELD, MA – Today, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced a three-year partnership with Ticket Galaxy to become the Official Fan to Fan Marketplace for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The partnership was facilitated by IMG College, the Basketball Hall of Fame’s sports marketing partner for collegiate events.

Oct 20, 2017 - SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the 20 watch list members for the 2018 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award. Named after Hall of Famer and three-time NCAA Champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the annual honor in its fourth year recognizes the top centers in men’s college basketball.  A national committee comprised of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates.
