Basketball Hall of Fame Announces “60 Days of Summer” Appearance Schedule and Family-Friendly Programming

Jun 29, 2017 - SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the return of “60 Days of Summer,” the museum’s annual summer program featuring 60 consecutive days of family-oriented fun. Starting on July 1 and running through August 31, the Hall of Fame will host various appearances, autograph signings, magicians, trick dribblers and jugglers, giveaway days and more.

Jerry West to Host 2017 Basketball Hall of Fame Golf Classic at Monarch Beach Golf Links

Jun 20, 2017 - Los Angeles, CA – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame will host its second annual Golf Classic in southern California on Friday, November 17th at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, California. This year’s field will once again bring out some of the biggest names in basketball including this year’s host, Los Angeles Lakers legend and Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 1980 enshrinee, Jerry West.

Basketball Hall of Fame to Receive $1 Million Grant from the MassMutual Foundation Twenty-Five Million Dollars to be Raised to Enhance Museum

May 24, 2017 - Springfield, Mass. — Early in 2015, Jerry Colangelo, Chairman of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Board of Governors, announced the launch of the Basketball Hall of Fame’s “It’s Time to Step Forward” Capital Campaign to support the technological renovation of the museum and solidify the Hall’s endowment. Almost $25 million has been raised over the past two years, primarily from members of the national basketball community. Today, the MassMutual Foundation announces its pledge of $1 million dollars to the campaign, the largest gift thus far from a Massachusetts based entity as the Hall of Fame begins its appeal to include local organizations and individuals.
