SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Basketball Hall of Fame and The Rotary Club of Springfield have announced the honorees for the eighth annual Basketball Hall of Fame / Springfield Rotary “Service Above Self” Luncheon. Phoenix, Ariz. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame will host its sixth annual Jerry Colangelo Golf Classic, presented by NIKE and IOA, on September 21st and 22nd at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Arizona. This year’s field will once again bring out some of the biggest names in basketball including Gary Payton, Spencer Haywood and Bernard King. Hall of Famers scheduled to participate include Rick Barry, Dick Bavetta, Nancy Lieberman, Annie Meyers, Jamaal Wilkes and more. Arizona legends Tom Chambers and Dan Majerle will also be on hand.

SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Board of Directors of The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Foundation, led by President Chris Paul, has agreed to make a major contribution of $1 million in support of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's "It's Time to Step Forward" Capital Campaign. The contribution is part of a $30 million capital campaign that the Hall of Fame has orchestrated over the last two years to fund the renovation of the Hall of Fame's entire interior space and virtual capabilities.
