Harley Redin & Jim Host to Receive Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2018 John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award

Feb 17, 2018 - LOS ANGELES, CA – Announced today by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at NBA All-Star weekend, the winners of the 2018 John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award are Harley Redin, a 6-time champion AAU women’s basketball coach, and Jim Host, founder of Host Communications - a pioneering collegiate sports marketing and production company. Both Redin and Host will be honored at Enshrinement Weekend in Springfield, Mass., the birthplace of basketball, during Enshrinement Weekend in September of 2018.

Andy Bernstein and Doris Burke Named Recipients of Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2018 Curt Gowdy Media Award

Feb 17, 2018 - Los Angeles, CA – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today, at NBA All-Star Weekend, longtime NBA photographer Andy Bernstein and ESPN basketball analyst Doris Burke are the 2018 Curt Gowdy Media Award recipients. The two will be acknowledged for their contributions to basketball media during the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement events September 6-8 in Springfield, Massachusetts – the birthplace of basketball.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Narrows Watch List for 2018 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award

Feb 09, 2018 - SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the 10 candidates for the 2018 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award. Named after Hall of Famer and three-time NCAA Champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the annual honor in its fourth year recognizes the top centers in men’s college basketball.  A national committee comprised of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates in October, which has now been narrowed to just 10.
