University of Connecticut Point Guard Shabazz Napier Receives 2014 Bob Cousy Award

Apr 06, 2014 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today live on CBS Sports Network that Shabazz Napier from the University of Connecticut is the winner of the 2014 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award. This annual honor is given to college basketball’s top point guard and is named after Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtics guard Bob Cousy. An original list, consisting of 47 candidates from around the country, was trimmed by a Hall of Fame appointed, nationally based committee to a final six before voting on the winner of one of college basketball’s most prestigious awards.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Launches Benefit Auctions on eBay

Apr 04, 2014 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, in partnership with Communities in Schools and Leadership Foundation announced today it will hold a benefit auction through eBay. The auction’s proceeds will be used to deliver meaningful programs to underrepresented children and communities throughout the country. The auction goes live tonight and will run through April 12.

Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Final Six Candidates for 2014 Bob Cousy Award

Mar 14, 2014 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the six finalists on for the 2014 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award. The annual honor, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes the top point guards in men’s college basketball. The original list of 47 candidates was narrowed down to the below watch list of six student athletes by a nationally based committee.
