Basketball Hall of Fame Narrows Watch List for 2020 Bob Cousy Award

Feb 03, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the 10 candidates for the 2020 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award. Named after Class of 1971 Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic and Holy Cross guard Bob Cousy, the annual honor now in its seventeenth year recognizes the top point guards in Division I men’s college basketball. A national committee comprising top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates in October, which has now been narrowed to just 10.

UConn Huskies and Tennessee Lady Vols Faceoff in Basketball Hall of Fame Revival Series

Jan 23, 2020 - SPRINGFIELD, MA – Widely regarded as the two most successful programs in women’s basketball, UConn and Tennessee faced off this evening in the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Revival Series. As a historic rivalry, the teams consistently met from 1995-2007, but have not faced each other since, prior to tonight. The momentous game served as a celebration of women’s basketball with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Pat Summitt Foundation.

Basketball Hall of Fame Reveals Details Surrounding New Enshrinement Schedule & Events in Anticipation of Historic Class of 2020

Jan 20, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is pleased to announce additional details regarding the Enshrinement Weekend for the highly anticipated Class of 2020. The Enshrinement process will culminate with the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, August 29th in Springfield, Mass. – the Birthplace of Basketball. The list of nominees was revealed on December 19th and can be found at www.hoophall.com. First time nominees on the ballot include Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Chris Bosh, along with Swin Cash and Tamika Catchings.
