 - Ticket Sales Begin in May - 

 

PHOENIX Position Sports, in association with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, announced that perennial powerhouses UConn and Gonzaga will face off in the Hall of Fame Series New York City on December 14 at Madison Square Garden, “The World’s Most Famous Arena.”

 

Tickets for the Hall of Fame Series New York City will be available for purchase in May. 

 

The two schools last met on December 15, 2023, in Seattle, where UConn defeated Gonzaga 76-63. The Huskies also knocked off the Zags in the Elite Eight last March, 82-54, during UConn’s run to its fifth national championship.

 

Information surrounding the game time, fan experience information, credentials, and television broadcast details will also be announced at a later date.

 

The Hall of Fame Series, owned and operated by Position Sports, is a collection of multi-game, singular events that showcase several of the top collegiate basketball teams in exciting non-conference matchups played both domestically and abroad. The inaugural Hall of Fame Series was held in 2023 in Las Vegas, Charlotte, San Antonio, Toronto, and Phoenix.

UConn vs. Gonzaga Series History

UConn has won three of the last four matchups vs. Gonzaga and is 5-2 all-time. UConn won the last meeting, 76-63, on December 15, 2023, in Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena. The Huskies also knocked off the Zags in the 2023 Elite Eight in Las Vegas, 82-54. The two programs first met in the 1999 NCAA Elite Eight (UConn won, 67-62). All six previous games took place on neutral floors (1999 - Phoenix; 2005 - Maui; 2007 - Boston; 2008 - Seattle; 2015 - Bahamas; 2023 - Las Vegas and Seattle).
