Tim Hardaway

Tim Hardaway’s signature crossover – appropriately named the UTEP Two-Step – was like a streak of lightning across the hardwood floor. In one fleeting second, the ball moved left to right, right to left, and back again as Hardaway blew by a frozen defender on his way to the hole. Hardaway played 13 seasons in the NBA, his time split mostly between the two coasts with the Warriors and the Heat. In Golden State, the five-time NBA All-Star joined Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond to form Run TMC, the high-scoring offensive onslaught that featured Hardaway running the point in an all-out sprint every night. Hardaway averaged over 20 points and 9 assists per game for four consecutive seasons for Golden State before he was traded to Miami. With his crossover now at a crossroads, Hardaway reinvented himself in South Beach. The Heat made six consecutive trips to the playoffs and won four division titles with Hardaway pacing a slower, more deliberate, more aggressive attack. The Windy City playground legend showed that basketball was his game, and he was going to perfect that game no matter what the cost.
