Edison, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced a partnership with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Horner Sports Flooring.  The 5-year agreement will provide the MAAC and the Basketball Hall of Fame with a Horner Pro-King portable basketball floor for use at several events including the annual MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships and the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.

“The partnership with the Basketball Hall of Fame and Horner Sports Flooring is a tremendous branding opportunity for the MAAC,” notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor.  “Presenting the MAAC and sponsor marks on a playing floor of this quality is tremendous. The joint venture also allows the league's student-athletes to compete on the highest quality surface as they seek qualification to the men's and women's national championship.”

The floor’s design is being created by Sport Graphics, a company founded and based in Indianapolis.  Sport Graphics has grown into a multifaceted company that offers branding, production, installation, and distribution for some of the largest events in the world including last year’s Super Bowl and NCAA Final Four.

“We are extremely excited and honored to be partnering with Horner Flooring and the MAAC on this new project” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. “The Basketball Hall of Fame branded floor will certainly elevate all of our events, and we look forward to showcasing the court in partnership with the MAAC tournament in Albany in March of 2015.”

As part of the agreement the Basketball Hall of Fame will provide a Horner branded scholarship recognizing a student-athlete for their academic and athletic achievements.  The criteria and amount are still to be decided.  Horner also receives the exclusive right to use the title “Official Sports Flooring Manufacturer of the Basketball Hall of Fame.”

“Horner Flooring is extremely pleased about expanding our new partnership with the Basketball Hall of Fame to include the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference,” stated Horner Sports Flooring President and CEO, Doug Hamar.  “Adding these two quality organizations among our list of satisfied users of Horner’s Pro King portable floor system means a great deal to us. We are very excited about what this relationship will do for the three of us as we endeavor to promote our respective brands. Horner is honored to share in the partnership as we look to the future.”
