Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enters New Multi-Year Partnership with Fifty-Five South Ventures

Mar 31, 2020 - SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today a new five-year partnership with Fifty-Five South Ventures as an official sponsor for several Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame initiatives. Fifty-Five South Ventures binds a number of entertainment and technology brands, including Vitalize Media Group, which will financially support the non-profit Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and its various initiatives to celebrate and preserve the game of basketball. The partnership was facilitated by Learfield IMG College, the Basketball Hall of Fame’s sports marketing partner.

Statement from Basketball Hall of Fame President & CEO John Doleva on London Showcase Scheduled for December 2020

Mar 31, 2020 - SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – “With many athletic events being postponed and canceled due to COVID-19, the Basketball Hall of Fame remains diligent in monitoring the situation and making decisions in the best interest of public health. At this time, we are moving forward with plans to host the inaugural London Showcase at The O2 in December 2020. Tickets remain available at AXS.com and we look forward to hosting a fantastic doubleheader featuring Kentucky vs. Michigan and Marist vs. UMBC. The health and safety of the players, fans and staff is of the utmost importance; we will continue to work and communicate with the four schools involved, and we will provide additional updates as needed.”

Statement from Basketball Hall of Fame President & CEO John Doleva on the Class of 2020 Announcement

Mar 19, 2020 - “The Class of 2020 was originally scheduled to be revealed at the NCAA Men’s Final Four, and while our broadcast location has changed, we’re excited to still be revealing this year’s class on Saturday, April 4th at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN. As previously announced, tickets for the 2020 Enshrinement festivities will be available for purchase at noon on April 4th via hoophall.com/enshrinement. This plan is subject to change as we, like many others in the sports and entertainment industry, will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely in the coming weeks. As a reminder, our museum in Springfield remains closed until May 1st. As always, the health and safety of our Hall of Famers, fans and staff is of the utmost importance. We look forward to coming together to celebrate the Class of 2020 when it is determined safe to do so.”
