Mar 02, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for the 2020 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award. Named after Class of 1971 Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic and Holy Cross point guard Bob Cousy, the annual honor now in its seventeenth year recognizes the top point guards in Division I men’s college basketball.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Winners of 2020 Morgan Wootten Award Presented by the Elks Hoop Shoot

Feb 26, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the winners of the 2020 Morgan Wootten Award for Lifetime Achievement in Coaching High School Basketball. This prestigious award presented by the Elks Hoop Shoot is named after Morgan Wootten, who served as the Head Coach of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsvile, Maryland for 46 years and is one of four high school coaches enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame. The annual award recognizes two outstanding high school coaches, one for boys’ basketball and one for girls’ basketball.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Names Local Standouts for 2020 Western Massachusetts Senior All-Star Games

Feb 21, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the team rosters for the 2020 Western Massachusetts Senior High School All-Star Games. The 2020 All-Star event will be held on Thursday, March 19 on the Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams at the Hall of Fame. A total of 61 players were selected from different divisions within the region to participate in three games that will showcase the top seniors in their final high school contest.

Inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame London Showcase to be Hosted at The O2 Arena

Feb 21, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams for the first-ever Basketball Hall of Fame London Showcase, a newly developed college basketball double-header held in conjunction with The O2 arena on Sunday, December 6, 2020. The inaugural event will feature Marist College vs. University of Maryland, Baltimore County at 3:00 p.m. London time and University of Kentucky vs. University of Michigan at 6:00 p.m.
