Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Five Finalists for 2019 Bob Cousy Point Guard Award

Mar 04, 2019 - Springfield, Mass. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for the 2019 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award. Named after Class of 1971 Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic and Holy Cross point guard Bob Cousy, the annual honor now in its sixteenth year recognizes the top point guards in Division I men’s college basketball.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Ongoing Refurbishment to Include Refinishing of Iconic Dome

Feb 28, 2019 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that the next phase of its $22+ million investment in the refurbishment of the museum will launch in early March. Work will begin with the outside dome, which rises nine stories from the building’s base and creates the iconographic imagery that defines the overall site as the home of Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Winners of 2019 Morgan Wootten Award

Feb 27, 2019 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the winners of the 2019 Morgan Wootten Award for Lifetime Achievement in Coaching High School Basketball. This prestigious award is named after Morgan Wootten, who served as the Head Coach of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsvile, Maryland for 46 years and is one of four high school coaches enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame. The annual award recognizes two outstanding high school coaches, one for boys’ basketball and one for girls’ basketball.
