Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Coach Marv Harshman passed away today at the age of 95. Winning 637 games during his 40-year stint in the college game, Harshman was named 1984 NBCA National Coach of the Year.  He capstoned his extensive career at the University of Washington after 14 seasons, with four 20-win seasons and five post season appearances.  Harshman was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985.

"It is always very sad to lose a person like Marv Harshman who influenced a countless number of people in his career - he was a great coach and an even better person with a true love of the game," said John L. Doleva, President of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. "Our condolences go out to his family and friends."
