Basketball Hall of Fame London Showcase to be Hosted at The O2 Arena

Feb 28, 2022 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame re-announced today the field of teams for the Basketball Hall of Fame London Showcase, a one-of-a-kind college basketball double-header that will be held in conjunction with The O2 arena on Sunday, December 4, 2022. The event will mark the first college basketball game ever played at O2 arena, which is globally renowned for being the busiest arena in the world. Originally scheduled for December 6, 2020 but postponed for concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the revamped event will be headlined by the University of Kentucky vs. University of Michigan at 6:00 p.m. London time/1:00 p.m. ET, with Marist College vs. University of Maine leading the festivities off at 3:30 p.m. London time/10:30 a.m. ET.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Names Local Standouts for 2022 Western Massachusetts Senior All-Star Games

Feb 25, 2022 - Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the team rosters for the 2022 Western Massachusetts Senior High School All-Star Games. The 2022 All-Star event will be held on Friday, March 25, on the Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams at the Hall of Fame. A total of 60 players were selected from different divisions within the region to participate in three games that will showcase the top seniors in their final high school contest.

Basketball Hall of Fame, WBCA Name Ten Centers to Watch List for 2022 Lisa Leslie Award

Feb 11, 2022 - Springfield, Mass. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced today the 10 watch list candidates for the 2022 Lisa Leslie Award. Named after the three-time All-American,1994 National Player of the Year and Class of 2015 Hall of Famer, the annual award in its fifth year recognizes the top centers in women’s NCAA Division I college basketball. A national committee of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates in November, which has now been narrowed to 10.
