Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Introduces Transformative Media Award and Media Insight Award in 2020

Feb 14, 2020 - CHICAGO, IL – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today, at NBA All-Star Weekend, two new Curt Gowdy media awards to be presented at Enshrinement Weekend 2020 – the Transformative Media Award and the Media Insight Award. The new honors are in addition to the Curt Gowdy Media Awards honoring members of the print and electronic media which have been presented since 1990.

Feb 14, 2020 - Springfield, Mass. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced today the top 10 candidates for the 2020 Lisa Leslie Award. Named after the three-time All-American,1994 National Player of the Year and Class of 2015 Hall of Famer, the annual award in its third year recognizes the top centers in women’s NCAA Division I college basketball.

Named after the two-time All-American and 1987 National Player of the Year, the annual award in its third year recognizes the top power forwards in women’s NCAA Division I college basketball.
