Los Angeles, CA– The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced The Chosen- 1’s Invitational, a high school event in partnership with Nike and four-time NBA champion LeBron James, will return to Los Angeles on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Galen Center on the campus of the University of Southern California (USC).

The four-game showcase, in its second year, will feature the following high schools: La Jolla Country Day from La Jolla, Calif. (girls), Mater Dei from in Santa Ana, Calif. (boys and girls), Sierra Canyon from Chatsworth, Calif. (boys and girls), St. Vincent-St. Mary’s from Akron, Ohio (boys and girls) and Wheeler from Marietta, Ga. (boys).

The event will feature on-site activations by Nike, providing all fans in attendance the opportunity to take home select Nike-branded items.

Additionally, FAMU’s nationally acclaimed band from Tallahassee, Florida, the Marching 100, will perform at halftime of various games. The Marching 100 has appeared on some of the world’s biggest stages, that includes Presidential Inauguration Parades, Super Bowls, the Rose Bowl Parade, and most recently this past summer in Paris at a high-profile men’s fashion show.

“The Basketball Hall of Fame could not be more thrilled to partner with Nike and LeBron James for the second year of this dynamic event and continue to build upon the excitement that last year’s showcase brought to the city of Los Angeles,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. “We look forward to this year’s new home, the Galen Center, and thank USC for their support and commitment to cultivating a first-class experience for the high school programs and their fans.”
