Events Scheduled in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, and Connecticut

 

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 18, 2019) – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the extension of its partnership with Air Force Reserve as the title partner for a number Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame collegiate events during the upcoming season.

“We are proud to celebrate the game of basketball at every level, while providing memorable experiences in premium facilities for players and fans alike,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “We are very appreciative to have the continued support of the Air Force Reserve and all our marketing partners who make it possible for us to operate first-class events for dozens of collegiate programs each season.”

Men’s and women’s events receiving support from the Air Force Reserve include the long-running Tip-Off Tournament (November 23-24) and Women’s Showcase (December 22) at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, the Jerry Colangelo Classic in Phoenix (December 8), the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (December 17), and the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles (December 21), The Air Force Reserve will also sponsor the highly anticipated rivalry game between the women of UConn and Tennessee at the XL Center in Connecticut (January 23), with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Pat Summitt Foundation and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

“The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s collegiate events annually feature top teams from around the country and attract an audience aligned with the target demographic of the Air Force Reserve,” said Master Sgt. Jacinto Nunez, NCOIC of Advertising and Marketing-Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service. “These games allow for an onsite presence to tell people directly about the Air Force Reserve, in addition to television viewership and a large national presence. This gives us an opportunity to create national awareness of the opportunities that are available in the Air Force Reserve.”
