Ralph MorganEnshrined 1959 Ralph Morgan was a staunch rules advocate who played a key role in the development of the rules and conference structure of early 20th century basketball. Morgan founded the College Basketball Rules Committee (CBRC) in 1905, and in 1931, the CBRC became the National Basketball Rules Committee. He organized the Joint Rules Committee in 1915 and contributed to the rulebook until 1958. Morgan also founded the Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League, which later became the Ivy League. Through these monumental achievements, Morgan spread the college game along the East Coast and helped unify basketball rules.
