A tenacious defender, Paul Endacott was a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference team selection at the University of Kansas. Under Hall of Fame Head Coach "Phog" Allen, Endacott led the team to a 17-1 overall record, the national title, and the first-ever Missouri Valley Conference undefeated record (16-0). Captain of the basketball team in his senior year, Endacott earned Helms Athletic Foundation Player of the Year honors. For his outstanding play as a collegian, Endacott was named to the Associated Press All-Time All-American Second-Team and the legendary Phog Allen's National All-Time College Team. After graduating from Kansas, Endacott played Amateur Athletic Union basketball for five seasons with the Phillips 66 Oilers.
