Jody Conradt arrived at the University of Texas in 1976 and quickly established the Longhorns as an unstoppable national force. Conradt's coaching passion and competitive instincts produced results. Creating a model collegiate program that many other schools have tried to emulate, but few have managed to duplicate, she led her teams to over 700 wins and an undefeated (34-0) national championship in 1986. At the time of enshrinement, Conradt had been named national Coach of the Year and Southwest Conference Coach of the Year numerous times. Conradt's string of twenty-win seasons and consecutive NCAA tournament appearances ranks among the best in women's college basketball history. During her illustrious career, Conradt has coached countless players who have been Olympians, earned All-Americas, and National Player of the Year acclaim. More than two-dozen of Conradt's former players have gone on to play professionally.
