Hubert "Hubie" BrownEnshrined: 2005 Experience has taught Hubie Brown a few things about the game of basketball. Over the past 60 years, Brown has developed a comprehensive basketball résumé while learning from and teaching some of the sport's legendary figures. After honing his skills as a coach in the high school and college game, and even two seasons as an NBA assistant with Milwaukee, Brown became the head coach of the ABA's Kentucky Colonels from 1974-1976. He guided the Colonels to the franchise's only championship in 1975. Known for fostering young talent, transforming struggling franchises into playoff contenders, and educating those around him, Brown was twice named NBA Coach of the Year for his efforts with the Atlanta Hawks and later the Memphis Grizzlies. A man of many and varied talents, Brown has worked for several television networks as the lead analyst and has hosted basketball clinics across the globe.
